The leaves of this evergreen plant will solve your health problems

Spring is in February and we often hear someone coughing or sneezing, not to mention a stuffy nose. Teas, rest, honey, it's usually what we usually resort to first, but it's not always that effective.

HEALTH, COUGH, BAY LEAF, PROBLEMS, PLANT, SYRUP

Instead of visiting the nearest pharmacy to buy lozenges or syrup for your persistent cough and sore throat, sometimes it is better to look in your drawer and prepare a very simple and natural syrup that will solve all your ailments.

Bay leaves are often used in the kitchen as an addition to dishes, giving them a special aroma, and bay essential oil is great for inhaling and disinfecting rooms, especially during flu season.

The leaves of this evergreen plant are rich in various minerals, vitamin B and are an excellent choice for immunity protection due to their antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect.

To prepare the syrup, only three ingredients are needed: bay leaf, water and brown sugar or honey.

dried bay leaf, lemon, honey, brown sugar

Ingredients for syrup:

6 pieces of dried bay leaf
1 lemon
3-4 teaspoons of brown sugar or honey

Preparation:

Boil 2.5 dcl of water in a bowl.

Add 6 dried bay leaves to the water and cook covered for 5 to 10 minutes.

Remove the leaves and transfer the liquid to another container.

Mix sugar and juice of one lemon in a bowl and mix everything well.

Take a teaspoon of the syrup up to three times a day, especially during strong coughing fits.

Heating oil

Heating oil is any petroleum product or other oil used for heating; a fuel oil. Most commonly, it refers to low viscosity grades of fuel oil used for furnaces or boilers use for home heating and in other buildings. Home heating oil is often abbreviated as HHO. Most heating oil products are chemically very similar to diesel fuel used as motor fuel; motor fuel is typically subject to higher fuel taxes. Many countries add fuel dyes to heating oil, allowing law enforcement to check if a driver is evading fuel taxes. Since 2002, Solvent Yellow 124 has been added as a "Euromarker" in the European Union; untaxed diesel is known as "red diesel" in the United Kingdom. Heating oil is commonly delivered by tank truck to residential, commercial and municipal buildings and stored in above-ground storage tanks ("ASTs") located in the basements, garages,...

Artificial intelligence: Google's new model 'will outperform humans in solving intelligence tests'

Google has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) model that it claims will "answer questions more carefully" because its "functionalities are more advanced". AI content generators sometimes invent things that developers call hallucinations.  The new Gemini model has been tested to solve problems in 57 areas, including mathematics and the humanities. "This is the new era of artificial intelligence," said Sundar Pichai, head of Google.  Earlier this year, Google launched its own version of the chatbot – Bard – calling it an "experiment".  During the presentation, the program made an error when answering the space question.  Google claims that the new model is "the most capable" and will outperform humans in solving intelligence tests.  Gemini can recognize image, text and sound, but it is not a product in itself.  It is a program that will be integrated into existing Google tools, including search, but also into the Bard...

Oil prices rose above $75 in international markets on Friday, boosted by signs of a strengthening US economy and a sharp drop in inventories ahead of further supply cuts from Saudi Arabia.  On the London market, the price of a barrel for delivery in September was 82 cents higher in the afternoon than at the close of trading yesterday and amounted to $75.33. Barrels for August delivery traded 52 cents higher at $74.86. On the American market, the price of a barrel increased by 86 cents, to 70.72 dollars.  Traders were encouraged by slightly increased estimates of US economic growth in the first quarter and a sharp fall in inventories last week, by as much as 9.6 million barrels.  The US economy grew by 1.8% in the first quarter, according to the Commerce Department, compared to the same period last year, 0.2 percentage points stronger than previous estimates showed. At the end of 2022, it increased by 0.9 percent.  Prices were also supported by Saudi Arabia's an...
